The latest updates on information selling and running an online infoproduct business

Look after your existing infoproduct customers

Have you heard of the Pareto Principle? That's a mathematical 'law' which suggests that 80% of something arises from 20% of something else. So, in web site terms this means that 80% of your sales will come from 20% of your customers. But that is only true if you look after them. The only way this rule is true for information selling web sites is if people buy additional products from you - if they become 'repeat' customers. Far too much effort for infoproduct creators appears to be in gaining new customers - web site traffic, GoogleAds etc. No matter how many people you attract, you'll only get one sale per person unless you have other items you can sell them. And they will only continue to buy from you if you develop a relationship with them. This means providing ongoing support, ideas and information using an autoresponder system, at the very least. Look after your existing infoproduct customers and the Pareto Principle will work.
